Historic Barn Roof Replacement & Standing Seam Metal Installation

For this historic barn project, Sugarsbridge Contractors overhauled a failing roof system to deliver long-term durability while maintaining the property's historical character.

Project Scope & Technical Details:

  • Decking Upgrade: Removed failing cedar shingles and installed 1/2” CDX 4-ply sheathing directly over the existing lath system.

  • Weather Barrier: Installed high-grade synthetic underlayment across the new wood deck for secondary moisture defense.

  • Metal Roof System: Installed traditional 1” double-lock custom Everlast standing seam metal panels.

  • Daylighting Integration: Integrated a set of all-new custom curb-mounted Velux skylights.

  • Snow Management & Drainage: Installed a Levi's snow retention system along with custom-fitted gutters to manage heavy water and snow runoff.
