Inspired Simulated Slate & Copper IntegrationThis installation utilized Inspire Simulated Slate to maintain the home’s historic integrity while improving the roof’s long-term performance. To address the vulnerabilities common in slate-style systems, we integrated 16 oz. copper valleys and custom flashing. These components are designed to manage high-volume water runoff and provide a permanent, non-corrosive barrier at all critical transitions.
Technical Standards:
1/2” Soldered Lock Connections: All copper joints were mechanically locked and fully soldered, ensuring a watertight seal that outlasts standard sealant-based methods.
16 oz. Copper Flashing: Specified for its weight and long-term durability, providing a heavy-duty transition between the simulated slate and the home's structure.
