Care Center Foundation Roof Replacement & Metal RestorationSugarsbridge Contractors partnered with CertainTeed and SRS Distribution to donate labor, materials, and craftsmanship for a full roof overhaul at The Care Center Foundation in downtown West Chester, PA. The Care Center Foundation serves local families by providing essential community programs, childcare, and educational resources. Prior to this project, the building's existing three-tab shingle roof had failed, leading to severe ventilation issues and moisture intrusion into the second-floor ceiling.
Project Scope & Technical Details:
Decking Repair: Removed failing three-tab shingles and replaced 70 linear feet of eroded roof decking.
Ridge Ventilation System: Cut and installed a new main ridge ventilation system to resolve attic condensation issues and protect second-floor ceilings.
Underlayment Defense: Applied continuous CertainTeed premium ice and water shield alongside CertainTeed Roof Runner synthetic underlayment.
Architectural Shingle Application: Installed new CertainTeed Pro architectural shingles across the entire main roof deck.
Vent Collar Installation: Replaced failing pipe boots with seven new Ultra lifetime pipe vent collars.
Historic Metal Restoration: Preserved and restored the building's existing custom Terne (tin) metalwork using specialized metal restoration techniques.
